Global Health is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms Islah Ishak as Regional General Manager for the Asean markets. Islah has joined the senior management team with a background of over 20 years in business development in the medical and technology industries in Malaysia.
Islah’s most recent role was as the Director of Investment and Trade for the Victorian State Government South East Asia Business Office in Kuala Lumpur, with a specific focus on developing trade opportunities in the Biotech, Medtech, Pharmaceuticals, Health and Aged Care segments.
As Regional General Manager, Islah will support any sales and channel partners opportunities across the Asean region including Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines, Cambodia and Myanmar. Global Health believes that the growing economic prosperity, ageing population and sensitive public healthcare policy in the Asean region are the key demand drivers for better healthcare and infrastructure.
Islah said “The model of a connected, consumer-centric healthcare ecosystem, which is at the core of Global Health’s vision, has the potential to radically disrupt health care in the Asean market. The new senior role based in Kuala Lumpur was established following encouraging interest in Global Health’s software portfolio from a variety of parties in the Asean region. With 60% the world’s population in Asia and a population of over 625 million people, the highest growth rates in the world and a rapid improvement in living and lifestyle conditions, this is a significant opportunity for Global Health.
