Global Health’s MasterCare EMR is now being used in over 100 organisations across Australia, with the recent implementation in the Justice Health, Alcohol and Other Drug Services Divisions of ACT Health as well as the Mental Health Services of Mercy Health in Victoria adding in excess of 1500 end users.
Both projects involved a best-of-breed approach with integration to multiple existing third-party systems and statewide reporting and community systems.
ACT Health and Mercy Health have both seen great success from MasterCare’s patient-centric client management system, which also positions MasterCare as the market leader in data collection support for State and Federally funded mental health programs nationwide.
The implementation of a single, shared client record across multiple departments and disciplines, gives an unprecedented level of patient continuity and completeness of information available to clinicians providing critical care.
MasterCare EMR has significantly reduced both ACT Health and Mercy Health’s reliance on paper-based systems through the introduction of a series of electronic forms and assessments used by clinicians. The collection of various Minimum Data Sets is built into clinical work-flows to ensure data integrity and minimise the administrative burden on clinicians.
Projects with a high-level need for integration require effective collaboration between Global Health and the respective client teams.
